Functions
Your functions
As a central KENEXOS® standard module, maintenance and servicing management is used with the respective configuration in all KENEXOS® industry solutions. It includes all functions for efficient and sustainable management of all maintenance and repair tasks and processes. By consistently recording and tracking the legally prescribed inspection and maintenance measures and the integrated, complete documentation, you reduce your operator risks as planned.
The maintenance management software from KENEXOS® supports you in your total productive maintenance strategy to ensure the availability of your production facilities, machines and tools.
All information on your operating equipment can be called up on clearly laid out master data sheets. These provide information on defined maintenance intervals and stored maintenance plans. For tools, data on the supplier, purchase price, purchase date, inventory and drawing number, possible storage location, parts list details and relevant nests or cavities are also available. If required, individual nests can be blocked with a simple mouse click. In addition, work plans for maintenance, repair and inspection that are relevant for the object in question are also stored in the master data sheet. The intervals for maintenance measures are defined dynamically, either according to a specific time period or according to the machine cycle.
The maintenance software coordinates all measures to ensure the operational condition of your equipment through proactive maintenance, inspection and repair. The associated work plans, including planned times, can be conveniently defined. The work process structure guarantees precise mapping of the steps to be carried out – from simple cleaning instructions for machine operators to complex maintenance plans for employees in the maintenance area. Supported by images and documents, such as sample images and process instructions, your employees are given the best possible support for preventive maintenance measures. Using checklists directly at the terminal, staff are reminded of upcoming tasks and the implementation is documented – all by the maintenance management software.
A special information service is available to help you plan maintenance measures in good time. You will be reminded by e-mail when, for example, 80% of the interval period or the number of cycles has been reached. The reminder period can be set flexibly in KENEXOS® so that you have sufficient time to coordinate the upcoming maintenance work, especially if the involvement of external staff is required.
The clear planning display provides information at a glance about when which measures need to be carried out and how much time needs to be scheduled for this. To ensure optimum orientation, the graphical maintenance overview can be limited to specific capacity groups such as machines and tools. The planning service is supported by ad-hoc messages from production, which require manually triggered maintenance orders, for example due to an unplanned machine downtime. In addition, regular maintenance work is automatically scheduled based on time or depending on the machine cycle, always taking into account current and planned production orders. Suitable personnel are conveniently assigned according to the respective qualification requirements using drag & drop. All these factors form the basis for efficient planning management.
The employees are managed in a structured manner based on the predefined work plans for maintenance, inspection, repair and overhaul. The maintenance management system automatically records which steps were carried out, how long the activities took and during which period the system was unavailable. The results of the job are also documented in detail. If repair work is required and the equipment fails, KENEXOS® triggers a sophisticated chain of events that has the following effect: planned production dates are rescheduled, the responsible persons are notified by e-mail and the ERP system automatically receives a request for the required spare part. This enables a prompt check of stock levels with a parts reservation or immediate ordering without delay.
KENEXOS® offers a comprehensive history that makes all actions performed, including their log and results, visible. The powerful analysis tools provide precise information on the work carried out and reveal optimization potential in the maintenance process. This includes OEE, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure), MTTR (Mean Time To Repair), Cost expenditure, Downtimes caused by maintenance measures, Personnel deployment.
Although many everyday processes are largely automated by mobile maintenance, it is still crucial to create an appropriate basis for optimizing all relevant processes by initially structuring and enriching buildings and work equipment with information. With the help of KENEXOS® maintenance software, you can easily obtain a digital, centralized and comprehensive representation of your buildings and their areas as well as a complete record of all maintenance processes for your machines via an app.
By using the KENEXOS® software solution, you receive a maintenance schedule that provides you with a clear overview of when inspections or repairs should be carried out. This means that even the smallest defects can be identified and rectified at an early stage as part of preventive maintenance. Scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as MOT appointments and inspections, are presented in a comprehensive and informative manner and displayed visually in the maintenance planner. Unplanned repair work due to faults is also processed and displayed in real time so that suitable measures can be taken as quickly as possible and long downtimes can be avoided. The software offers a comprehensive range of functions that support all important and recurring processes in the company in order to ensure long-term system availability and also optimize performance.
In order to ensure continuous improvement and optimization in the maintenance of systems, records and evaluations are of great importance. The centralized CMMS tool KENEXOS® offers an ideal platform for storing technical documents such as data sheets, photos, circuit diagrams and technical drawings, which can be retrieved at any time. In addition, the flexible asset management software of the KENEXOS® tool enables the secure storage of historical data on past faults and failures as well as the corresponding damage patterns and thus offers the possibility of deriving optimization potential for the future.
The KENEXOS® Enterprise Asset Management solution in the MRO sector takes care of the indirect needs of your production facility in particular – including the inspection, maintenance, repair and overhaul of plant, machinery and equipment. Mobile, digital maintenance is also possible in areas without WLAN coverage. The EAM system supports your company on the path from reactive maintenance (repairing damage after it has occurred) to proactive maintenance (preventing damage from occurring). Scheduling and executing calendar-based preventive maintenance tasks is the first step.
A well thought-out approach is necessary for predictive maintenance work. Condition-dependent and usage-related factors as well as load factors are carefully weighed up so that maintenance measures can be optimized and integrated accordingly. The more closely KENEXOS® is linked to direct production data such as machine running time or the materials used for components, the more effectively maintenance work can be carried out. With a high-quality data pool, you can avoid unnecessary maintenance work, help to reduce enormous costs and minimize the risk of damage during a repair.
Maintenance tasks are often carried out at specific intervals. The recommendation of the device manufacturer often plays a role here. If you want to improve the process in general, KENEXOS® supports you in switching to a criteria-based approach. Despite its complex functionality, the software is still easy to use, which ultimately contributes to productivity, reliability and availability. Tasks are therefore not carried out according to a specific time, but according to a specific calculated value – either according to a number of operating hours or work cycles or according to another key figure that corresponds to the actual wear of the machine. If the corresponding diagnostic data of a machine is used, the EAM enables a switch to condition-based maintenance. Values such as temperature, vibration, pressure or changes to these trigger preventive maintenance as soon as defined threshold values are reached.
Capture and convert data into clean data sets. Manage your data efficiently and maximize usability. Find information quickly. Improve procurement, inventory and more.
Proper organization of the MRO supply chain requires a collaborative effort to avoid material shortages, unnecessary expenses and lost time in spare parts procurement. Companies that are diligent in their data management reduce the level of risk by implementing a standardized and consistent data view of spare parts information within their capital projects, bill of materials and spare parts inventory. A well thought-out approach is necessary for predictive maintenance work. Condition-dependent and usage-related factors as well as load factors are carefully weighed up so that the maintenance measures can be controlled accordingly. FAQ
A software-based solution for planning maintenance and repair orders – known as maintenance software or CMMS – is a digital tool that makes it possible to assign tasks to maintenance staff in a targeted and effective manner. Manual planning using a planning board or Excel spreadsheets is replaced by an automated solution that can be operated on all end devices such as a smartphone or tablet. The functions of this software include the option of individual planning using drag-and-drop as well as group planning over a predefined period. The qualifications and skills of the employees are taken into account in order to ensure the targeted allocation of orders. Furthermore, the software achieves optimum utilization of maintenance staff by taking into account working hours per day and shift. Instead of using paper, the maintenance technicians use a special maintenance app to process the orders. They can use this app to quickly and easily view the relevant orders and all information on the system and order in an overview, even offline and directly on site. After carrying out maintenance or repairs, they document their work in the app and report back their working hours and the consumption of materials. They can also use the app to transfer completed checklists, forms and photos directly to the backend system. Overall, maintenance software significantly shortens and accelerates communication and planning paths throughout the company and maximizes efficiency, which is of course also reflected in the figures. As an additional benefit, the digital management of systems also reduces the maintenance costs of machines and systems. The dispatcher is always aware of the current processing status of the orders thanks to the status feedback from the maintenance staff.
In principle, KENEXOS® maintenance software is suitable for all industries that have to manage capital-intensive plant and machinery, i.e. the entire inventory – whether in terms of documentation or maintenance and repair planning. The most common sectors are, for example, industry, logistics, healthcare, infrastructure and utilities. If you have assets that require capital, it is all the more necessary to have mobile maintenance software or CMMS software to keep an operational overview of management in any situation.
As the term suggests, maintenance and repair software enables you to manage and maintain your systems. Devices and machines can also be stored in this system, as they also undergo regular inspection and maintenance workflows. By using an EAM system, you are able to take an advanced step by gaining overall control of the plant life cycle and connecting it to other processes or systems. The flexible scalability of KENEXOS® means that third-party systems can also be connected via interfaces.
